An Espion XS looks like fun. How'd you like a camera that looks like a zippo, 7cm long when closed, and has an infrared sensor so it takes pics when body heat activates it?
Too much work and not enough play makes Tzaddi grumpy. Wednesday's barely begun but it should be Friday... shouldn't it?
After messing up California even more, what will Arnie do? Perhaps we'll see Arnie as a mime, or catch him in Vegas: Siegfried and Arnold.
"A device for maintaining metabolic activity in a mammalian head which has been severed from its body at its neck..." Weird thing on the internet #9,487,768... via crackbaby, in a roundabout sorta way. Well, I guess if you had invented such a thing, you would want to patent it. Yuck. :P
We've been walking for ever and ever. Finally we get there. "There" is no place I know of now that I'm awake; a small village. Maybe not even a village but a few dwellings. Surrounded by water.
Now I want to go home. Rather than take the long route back I take a different route. I head out on the floating walkway of docks and logs. Eventually the walkway ends and I have to get into the water, but it's okay, it's only up to my chest.
But then there are these really large, bumbling things moving in the water. What's that? I think. Oh, it's only hippos. Nothing to worry about.
Aren't dreams grand?!
The pop-culture-as-art tidal wave of post-Warhol imagoguery seems a little desperate, as if art fears for its significance if it doesn't lay claim to the geiser of icons which blows through our daily lives. Artist as warper and juxtaposer in a world too full of visuals to warrant any original creations. But if post-printing-press popularity is inversely proportional to artistic merit, is there some alchemical formula of pop + art = mass enlightenment sans sellout? It's with their tongues firmly in those cheeks that the Art Lodge reaches bargain-basement Nirvana.I could use some bargain-basement Nirvana meself... Excerpt from Broken Pencil.
For you user interface/design/developer types: OK/Cancel talks some serious stuff but includes cartoons for serious grownups. Found that thanks to joelonsoftware
Hey, why not send a fax to Starbucks CEO urging that they brew fair trade coffee once a week. Paying a fair wage to farmers that grew your $5 coffee. What a concept that would be.
As noted on globalexchange.org: "Starbucks' volume as a percentage of sales is still far below the industry minimum standard of 5% Fair Trade shared by almost all of the other 100 companies offering Fair Trade Certified coffee"
I'm mildly amused to find your typical realtor's web site (typos and all) bearing my mate's name. If only he was more my type I could be greatly amused...
"Mr Baker, from Playden, East Sussex, is the only European to have been cooked and eaten in Fiji...
The people of Navatusila want to atone for the sins of their ancestors because they believe they have been cursed by Mr Baker's death..."
A tasty story on http://www.telegraph.co.uk/
Two major scientific research centres said on Wednesday they had set a new world speed record for sending data across the Internet, equivalent to transferring a full-length DVD film in seven seconds.
I've given my main homepage a new look. Hop on back to zodomatica.com and let me know what you think. Especially let me know if it breaks on your platform. Unless you're surfing in Netscape 4.7 :P
I find some interesting things at tudogs.com. You have to subscribe to his list, but I've had no spam problems as a result of it. His finds this week included the Morphon CSS Editor which I put on my shiny-new to-do list.
Forget fossil fuels. Forget nuclear power, hydro electric power, wind mills and even solar power. The answer to our thirst for energy is all around us: Kitty Power!
Here's the new look. As ever I will fine tune it, but I'm happy with it for starters. I'll be swapping the image from horizontal across the top, to the left. Sharing pieces of pictures I've taken, or maybe things I scan. We'll see where it goes. Let me know what you think. Go ahead. Make a comment. I dare you.
Common, I'm getting lonely here.
...would be to make another Michael Moore. The 'western' world needs so much more of what he's doing.
Isn't the term 'western' world/society interesting if you think about it like an old Western movie. Bunch of white folk riding around on horses saying 'this land here doesn't look occupied, I think I'll make my fortune off this...'
