So in case you haven't heard, I brought Leroy home last Saturday. Somehow his sister came in the bargain. Who knew. Go figure.
We are totally in love with these little furballs of fun.
They are definitely their mama's kittens. They love water. They climb and jump around and wrestle like you wouldn't believe. Yet they do understand the word "no", and they like to cuddle and have great purrs. Awesome, eh?
There's a transcript of an excellent speech by Bill Moyers at TomPaine.com. Lengthy but worth the read.
Client Quotes - old but great collection of things designers have heard from their clients. Gave me flashbacks of my work-week.
UBC Robson Square has Arts Wednesdays lectures. McLuhan in Vancouver/Art Without Walls could be interesting (October 6th) The 50-minute lectures take place at UBC Robson Square (800 Robson Street), start at noon and are free to attend.

By the way, Leroy is French for "powerful king". Look out Campbell Street!
Today we received in our mailbox a catalogue. It's cover features red and white, and it's called Wish Book. Subhead: Christmas 2004.
IT'S SEPTEMBER. The second, to be exact.
Is it just me or does the Christmas marketing machine start up earlier every year?
It makes me mad. I'd like to take the catalogue over to that major retailer's head office and well, I don't know. Violent thoughts come to mind but I'm not one to carry through with those...
Maybe next year I'll get their catalogue just after Easter. That would be almost like Christmas turning into a Buddist holiday or something.
